GOSH I'M SUPPOSED TO BE GOING TO SHOWER NOT DOING THIS. FARTS. FARTS AND MORE FARTS JEVA.

Obviously Hiryuu needs to take some more memories. I haven't decided between the Nadai barfight, being in the human trafficking hold (the only one I've actually mentioned I think), or maybe something with Gigan on the pirate ship. Or maybe even that time she realized that she was a Terrible Person while comforting a sick and dying man. The point being, though, that Hiryuu is very much not a conventional princess and doesn't at all look down on people of low social status. Her responses are simply informed by having been exposed to how heartless the world is--hell, if SHE walked back into Hiryuu palace the way she is, she'd also probably be locked up before being executed. :'D Y...a....y....

I don't think she'd be upset to know Boss distrusts her / is uncertain about his standing in her eyes in this regard, but she WOULD be disappointed. She's a very, painfully??, honest person so if he disgusted her, she wouldn't hesitate to let him know.

Hiryuu thinks that Boss is still a good person. She still doesn't understand WHY he didn't trust everyone fully and insist on playing low? FEAR? Was it fear of being caged maybe? She'd ask, but she doesn't want him to feel like she's judging him when she's literally just trying to understand what happened, and where everyone's hearts were. Anyway, like I said on your plurk. She saw the shit that Spidey and her team continues to get over the broken arms and she's aware that like. There's really nothing she can do to completely stop that sort of thing from happening to Boss, but she's 99% certain that if he stayed in this position, it would be a common occurrence. Best case scenario, it just pisses Boss off until he does something dumb; worst case... it exacerbates the guilt and shit that's eating at him and he can't perform the job in any capacity or it hardens him/his whole team against working with everyone.

Anyway, she doesn't really see Boss as a criminal, but even if she DID, it wouldn't necessarily be a problem so obviously that should be cleared up. If you have feelings/suggestions (particularly regarding what I mentioned above) lemme know.

Raijuu coming later I REALLY GOTTA SHOWER!!!!

Raijuu is all over the place when it comes to Hiryuu.

Like, A LOT has happened in a short amount of time. Starting out, he thought she was just a girl who pushed herself a lot when she was dealing with someone who resembled someone she knew in some way. And he wanted to try to alleviate some of that pain by like... y'know. Staying away from her. But then there was that whole confrontation/reveal that the reason she was making those faces and wanted to stay away from him was because he was the person she was talking about. And it... well, he was Mad about it for like a five minutes but then she yelled her personal struggles at him and then cried and he couldn't keep being mad. It's a Problem.

He still has a bit of Slightest Guilt of how he behaved when he first showed up but he mostly kind of shrugs about it in a "well, what can one expect from a complete amnesiac?" and just tries to keep from adding to Hiryuu's problems going forward--EXCEPT. THAT'S HARD TO DO! BECAUSE JUST HIS BEING HERE IS A PRESSURE ON THEM BOTH AND NOT MUCH HE CAN DO ABOUT THAT.

I've talked a lot about how he viewed that first memory but in summary, he basically knew she was real important to him but wasn't sure WHY. Like, he gave up his name, his rank, and his status for this girl? To protect her? From what? A new king that took power? Seems ominous (sorry, but he definitely suspects a coup of some kind but doesn't want to broach that until they know more...). And he'd LIKE to think he's not someone who would do that on a whim.

And then he got his memory and promptly wanted to die because he understood exactly why he would give everything up and just please why this???

Raijuu is less questioning about whether the memories are real (though he does keep in mind that they could, potentially, be fabricated), but he is questioning about whether he should be investing in them as much as he apparently does each time he gets a memory (something Mori pointed out to him). He hasn't even really dwelled on questioning whether he cares about Hiryuu--he's just kind of accepted "I cared about this girl and I don't see why that should change" and feels like that was the right choice when she tells him she's glad that he's there in spite of the terribleness of the place and the game she just went through (because he missed it).

And he wants to be reliable in that sense! Which is why he doesn't want to add in the complication of him apparently having feelings for her! Especially when he just has the one informing memory of it and that was just an embarrassment! He really wants Spidey and Hurricane to respect his wishes to leave it as it is for now because, the way Raijuu sees it, Hiryuu needs a friend she can trust more than she needs a romance. She has her unit, which is fine, but Raijuu already understands that sometimes a person needs more than just the people they were randomly shoved together with and have adapted to accepting as a part of your life. Heart Soldier Senshi has a family vibe and family is not the same as friends. So like...

That's not to say he thinks she doesn't have friends--she's a charismatic and friendly person who could make friends easily! But... he'd like to think he's different in that regard--and largely curses his memory for making him want that. She already made it clear it was different because... it's obvious... that he's chosen to be by her side whatever comes and even ended up in this place--albeit 2 weeks late. So once again, he's 100% willing to just be the friend and confidant she needs in a place like this. His feelings for her aren't so important that he'd push them on her when they're unasked for, so that's what he would like.

But he also Highly Suspects his memories will have more of the obliviousness and will just be ready to die each time. The biggest pressure is knowing some HSSes know and they rib him and push him to confess his feelings and he's just not sure if it's going to blow up on him or they'll rat him out... so... awk.

Anyway, Gold suggested swearing loyalty to Hiryuu and Raijuu was immediately like I Am Not Doing A Vid Or Live For That, No Way. fooooor a lot of reasons. One of which being that he would die from everyone nudging and patting his back about it. The other reason being because HIS FEELINGS AREN'T FOR ATTENTION OR POINTS, KTHXBAI. But he is thinking about it for a private thing. Just... because... even if they can't in reality protect each other the same way they could before ending up in this place... the fact that he still wants to is important.

He hopes, anyway.

... I think that's it. Herp.

REVERSE FOR BOTH.

HOOOOBOY. okay. SO.

Like Raijuu, Hiryuu has also been all over the place. She DID NOT EXPECT for him to turn up here because. I mean even though Cable and Wire are both from the same place, and Silver and Gold too-they all came together in the same wave. She never thought new people would be a thing, and there wasn't enough TIME between Abi appearing and meeting Raijuu for her to really intuit that. could be a thing. So just. PANIC and FEAR and OH NO, NOT THE BOY SHE SAID SHE WANTED TO PROTECT NO MATTER WHAT. And then things spiraled from there. She would have just drug herself across the broken glass from her brokero kokoro is not for people questioning her judgment, so kudos on them for that, it would have been a really hard time for her... as already evidenced. (Considering the things currently going down, I'm not sure she could have handled that other pressure. She would have, i guess, but not without breaking a lot of plates.)

She told Hurricane at first she didn't like him but. It was kneejerk childishness. "OF COURSE I DON'T LIKE HIM, HE BULLIES ME." But she was already compromised? Like of course she didn't like the way he treated HER but she found a lot of him admirable. Unlike Raijuu who is like "maybe I shouldn't treat these memories with a grain of salt" Hiryuu takes them as the Word of God. Even the ones that aren't hers, she's trying to adapt to accordingly: so Abi and Raijuu are Companions and Special People to her, full stop. In Abi's case, the feelings aren't quite there yet, but soon. Soon. Anyway she is very easily swayed by her heart and doesn't question things naturally so that's just her way. But it also just feels natural and comfortable to be able to have this bickering-but-not-serious pattern with him; like, it actually... relieves... some of her stress, somewhat. It's good for her, since she actually behaves like a normal person with him and takes off her Pope Hat (which is from now on what I am referring to her drive to be Inhumanly Good as).

He is absolutely right though to think that Hiryuu wouldn't believe that he's in love with her. She's already solidified in her mind that he sees her as unattractive and unfortunately memories will only further confirm that (although they should also not?? HIRYUU???) IT IS POSSIBLE, IN THEORY, THAT someone could convince her that Raijuu was lying, but then of course she would ask him and he would deny and they'd just start the same old song-and-dance around the hat again. But the more that she'll learn about herself, the less she'll see herself as a viable candidate for someone. Not Good Enough, doomed to Be Unhappy, apparently, thanks Dad/prophecies. Also eventually that feeling of self-blame for all of their presences here is going to really hit home and cement so. You know. ANYWAY POINT BEING she has already told B that she's just going to fully devote herself to her Missions because people only see her as a child/unfit for romance (boy Boss's impressions would not help with that) and so That Is That. (Except the real problem is Yona heart very squish and very full of love and already Compromised AND there is a part of her who DOES really crave positive attention and feeling loved and valued, hence EVERYTHING SOO-WON and baby crushes on people who are just thoroughly kind to her, so what are you gonna do..........)

I feel like I lost the plot here somehow. Oh yeah.

Anyway, Hiryuu is very. Torn. Responsible Pope Hat brain tells her that in order to be kind to Raijuu and not make him feel any kind of stress about picking between her and his unit, she should discourage him from making any kind of oath, televised or not. She is INCREDIBLY ANXIOUS about avante, like, she really does like them as people but their stance is much harder and she's afraid that they may end up at the other ends of each other's swords because like hell HSS wouldn't protect people (circumstance dependent) if avante went on the attack. She also has gotten the impression that ACE REALLY DOES NOT LIKE HER / THEM and like... vaguely.... maybe not *hostile* vibes but icy/unwelcome vibes and she feels like maybe an oath to her would just exacerbate all of that unpleasantness. But then there's SELFISH LIZARD BRAIN in the other corner of the ring and selfish lizard brain--it's not as strong as it COULD be, but selfish lizard brain is lonely and tired and it still doesn't want to let him go/wants a place to go to that feels like "home." Selfish lizard brain is basically the only thing keeping her from telling him he'd have an easier time of it if he just forgot all about her and did his own thing because the thought of losing someone who has always (sans two weeks) been there is scary as fuck. If he made a vow to her... she would accept it, but she'd probably cry, which he hates, but for all of the above reasons BECAUSE SHE KNOWS BETTER, BUT ALSO, SHE REALLY WANTS SOMEONE TO LEAN ON, she's so tired. It should be noted that there is absolutely no part of her brain that is smart enough to NOT demand that he give her his phone and activate both their Lives so they can get points. #Helping

Anyway I'm so sorry for everything she is going to put him through. Between being surrounded by hot boys/men all day every day, accidental Charm casting (he's definitely a possible target now, if you want that), Certain Plans As Yet Unnamed, and the nature of this place, Raijuu is gonna have a hard time.

Someday in the (distant? prrrobably distant) future after everyone remembers each other I want her to sneak both Raijuu and Jae-ha (and any other non HSS dragon fam? WILL ZENO AND KIJA AND YOON EVER APPEAR?) over for a sleepover for great glory and shenanigans and dragon fam pillow fights also maybe cuddles.
