That said, Raijuu has a Healthy Suspicion that Ace is not what he seems on the surface level. like, yeah, duh, obviously he's not. But it's more like he registers Ace as someone who would normally be--might even become?--a threat but they ended up on the same unit as so Ace isn't??? a threat??? it's kind of weird and he doesn't get it but he does think getting on Ace's bad side is not a side you want to be on. and that Ace is smarter and craftier than he looks.

That said, despite this, Ace is one of the teammates he's most liable to try roughhousing with. Half of it is in jest (Wind Tribe shenanigans) while half of them are serious attempts which gets him pissed off when Ace manages to get away. Again, it's really weird because Raijuu doesn't like to be toyed with but this way of doing it reads more like Ace is indulging in his "play". 8/// unsure how feel, kind of patronized but there's kind of a fondness to it.

Anyway, he wants to fight Ace a lot but it's like half-serious, half-play so like. thats how we end up with roughousing shenanigans while people are trying to have serious discussions.

Ace likes Dark Dragon Raijuu quite a lot! I think they clicked a lot faster than Ace clicked with Aibou (both Aibous). He enjoys the rough-housing and riling up Raijuu, it's something he doesn't really have with anyone else on the team.

He doesn't mean to be condescending when they horse around, eventually Raijuu will get an upper hand (maybe even later in the HSS post!). Ace would really interested in fighting Raijuu, actually. Raijuu seems like he knows what he's doing, which means it will be Exciting. Not a lot of people know how to sword in Imeeji. (Yet, I say generously.) Ace isn't particularly fight-happy per se, but he's frequently restless and bored in Imeeji, and a good sword fight is a fun way to pass the time. Especially since avante has their self-heal so they can let loose on each other. >.>

The one thing that Ace doesn't really like about Raijuu is Hiryuu, because split loyalties are not good. It's a "will we be able to depend on him if it comes down to us or HSS?" kind of feeling. At the moment it's just an unease that weighs on his mind, so he'll be watching Raijuu's attitude toward Hiryuu to get a better read on how dependable Raijuu might be in such a situation.
