Unless you're working to keep a roof over your head.
But even then...

It's more that for someone like me to make a place for myself in the world or do anything meaningful with my life, I'm going to need to work twice as hard as anyone else.
That's a simple fact no matter what kind of job I take. Isn't it better, then, to do something I'm passionate about?

but not gonna let that show.]
"Someone like me"... a socially awkward person who needs more practice at social skills?

Don't worry. I know plenty of socially awkward people and they all do fine once they stop caring what other people think.
"To each his own," didn't you say?

But I do want better for others who aren't so lucky, so I guess change is necessary. Yoshida-san has a better way of phrasing things like this than I do.

...Yoshida-san? That name sounds familiar.

He's taught me quite a lot about how to start with that sort of thing.
[i dare you to say something]

[But what if I say something... EXTREMELY BLAND???]
no subject
Not really politics. But he knows how things work in that area better than I do. He's made mistakes, but he doesn't hide from them. He puts himself in the spotlight to highlight the problems, instead. I find that admirable.

[Let's be real, Akechi already checked to see if the guy had a Palace.]
But what's the point? It's not as if the others will let him back into the club.
no subject
Maybe this is my being naive, but even if he never is in office again, if one person who heard him manages to enact a change he hoped for the future, then he's done his part, hasn't he?
And considering he's on a soapbox in the middle of Shibuya

a. pause.]
We can talk about something not politics, actually.
[he really sounds like a kid, talking like this but it's what he actually thinks, so...]
